I had the idea for a balloon smoking out clouds for a while now, but was only truly motivated to create it when I was accepted to the Pancakes&Booze Art Festival that comes to Toronto.
Although I did have older work, this was the first art market like thing I was accepted to and I took that as an opportunity to get myself back into painting and create this instead of letting it live in my sketchbook forever, as well as a strawberry with eyes for seeds I'd wanted as a tattoo for a while (and now have).
As I was collecting supplies from various art stores to get myself back into it, I happened upon neon paint and thought I'd be fun to create the "high" eyes using that, as well as the balloon's joint. Super proud of how everything turned out!
